How To Make Your Packaging More Sustainable

Making your packaging more sustainable doesn't have to take a lot of effort or cost a lot of money. Here are some easy ways to increase the sustainability of your packaging:

Choosing the right materials

The biggest difference you can make is switching the materials you use. There's a sustainable option for every packaging need (even polymailers). We've put together a list of sustainable swaps for you here.

Avoid void-fill

Void fill (like bubble wrap) is used to protect your products during transit. The best way to reduce void fill is to use bespoke packaging instead of stock boxes. By having your packaging specifically designed to suit your products you not only reduce void fill but your products will be perfectly presented every time. Now that's what you call a win-win.

Vegetable or water-based inks

Printing your packaging with vegetable or water-based inks is an eco-friendly alternative to chemically-derived oils (like petroleum), yet doesn't compromise on print quality. Not sure what your printer uses? Just ask them. Or better yet, we'll print it for you as we only use vegetable or water-based inks 😉

Carbon balance your packaging

Looking to lower your carbon footprint? No problem. We partnered with the World Land Trust so we can help businesses like yours by carbon balancing your packaging for you. No extra effort required.
